A susptected robber was accidentally killed by his own accomplice during an attempted robbery at Archer’s Edge in Wekker Street, Moreletapark. The man was declared dead on the scene by paramedics. The incident happened around 04:50 on Friday morning (3 June 2016).
A security guard was also shot multiple times during the attempted robbery, but was stabilised at the scene and taken to a nearby hospital.
